Hey there, I'm going to try write my first critique on DA, so bear with me <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=";) (Wink)"/>

I've been to this amazing place myself, so I know a bit about the surroundings.
I like how you framed and composed the image. The amount of the fern in the bottom is just right and the green plants are positioned in a pleasing way.
The shape of the tree draws the eye and makes you want to take a closer look to explore the details.

When I do that, I notice some things that distract me from the main subject.
Firstly the lens flare, which you get due to pointing the camera into the sun. This may have been avoided by a slightly different angle or maybe by holding your hand into the air in front and above your lens to shade some of the stray light. If all that failed, the image would benefit greatly from removing those spots via software editing.
I do however like the ethereal light on the right of the tree.

Secondly the white area above the sun. Perhaps you might have avoided this by moving somewhat more to the left or taking the picture from a higher angle to get more foliage to cover that area.
The focus and the exposure look alright to me. I like the details you see in the tree bark and the ferns.
I like the colours and the glittering leaves on the right and left side
The slight vignette emphasises the framing.
The sharpening / noise editing is too strong for my liking. The whole image loses some of its fairy tale quality due to that. 400 ISO is not much with the D800, so there shouldn't really be much noise. I guess it's really too much sharpening.
Generally the photo has a lovely dreamy atmosphere that would be even stronger with lower sharpening settings and more masking.
Looking forward to more images from that forest <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
